Op scholars Leader
Opportunity Program- Skidmore College
My role as the Opportunity Program Scholar consists of being a resource for all the OP classes working in close relation with the first-year class. From being assigned to be the teacher assistant in first-year’s academic transformation class, to creating events and flyers/posts to promote said events.
senior gift Board member
Senior Gift Committee- Skidmore College
Senior Gift is a tradition where seniors make their first gift back to Skidmore to pay it forward for future students. Each senior can decide where their money goes by designating their gift to a campus cause. My responsibilities as an executive board member included collaborative planning, personal solicitations, outreach and
engagement, donor cultivation, and fundraising initiatives.
OP mentor
Opportunity Program- Skidmore College
The Opportunity Program Mentoring Program consists of an upperclassmen taking one or two first-year student’s and help them ease the transition into their first-year of college. As a mentor we are in charge of scheduling meetings and checking-in with our mentees to help answer any question they might have whether personal or academic.
Event coordinator
Raíces- Skidmore College
Raíces is a club in Skidmore College whose mission is to create a safe space for individuals who identify as Latino/Hispanic in a predominantly white institution (PWI), while also welcoming anyone from different cultural backgrounds. This is done through the clubs’ bi-weekly general body meetings, club events such as: café con leche, Hispanic Heritage week, study sessions, and our biggest event the annual banquet, all of which I am in charge of organizing and making sure it gets carried out smoothly.
